Nutrition is all about eating good foods; this dates back to our ancestors. Things were purer in those times. The soil that foods were grown in back in the day was not loaded with pollution or runoff from companies. This is why I developed my own supplement line. I wanted something that was very clean. I know the companies I deal with and the people on a personal level. We have to change the way we look at nutrition to make sure that we are getting good nutrition. To do this one has to choose the right foods and resources along with continued education. Everything we put into our bodies becomes incorporated into our DNA to make us work, make our bodies work, to stay healthy or—on the flip side—could cause inflammation. Thinking about mindful foods, as in asking, “would that be a food that my DNA would like to be incorporated with?” will help aid our decisions on good nutrition.

To maintain a good doctor patient relationship requires communication between both parties. This is above my three pillars. Nutrition is important, not only as a form of medicine but to treat illness. Your body is a machine that the good Lord provides, and it works all day and needs a whole lot of energy. If you think of your body as a machine, you will start to think twice about what you are putting into it and have it work for as long we can work it. The key with nutrition is eating mindful foods. Mindful foods means a can of sardines with Omega-3 fatty acids that are good for the brain and heart, or Brussels sprouts that are loaded with vitamins and minerals.
