Five Hacks to Improve Your Mood

Being in a positive and good mood can have an amazing impact on your day. Sometimes we wake up in a good mood and the day just goes from there. Unfortunately, other times, whether its because something happened or just from waking up on the wrong side of the bed, we can be in a bad mood. A bad mood can drain the energy from the day. That’s why in today’s blog article I’m going to share five hacks to improve your mood.

1. Write a gratitude list

Grab a blank piece of paper and write down a list of things that you are grateful for. This has been proven to drastically improve one’s mood and completely changes their perspective.

2. Do a random act of kindness

It feels good to be a good person. Maybe step outside and give a protein bar to someone who is homeless, or give a colleague a compliment. You will feel better about yourself and improve your mood.

3. Reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while   

Think about that person you used to be close to but just haven’t had the time to catch up with. Go ahead and give them a call! They will appreciate your call and you’ll be in a much better mood afterward.  

4. Go for a walk

Step outside, enjoy the fresh air, and take a deep breath. Going for a walk will allow you to clear your head and change your mood.

5. Meditate

I’ll talk more about the benefits of meditating in a blog article soon, but this will just be a short teaser. Meditating for as short as five or ten minutes can reduce your stress, help anxiety levels, and completely change your mood.
